The Uniting Reformed Church in Southern Africa Orange Farm Central is a home to a diverse community of people, and our goal is to “Reach up to God, and reach out to You”. We have family- oriented ministries dedicated to children, Teen and adults. Please click on the links provided below for a more information about each specific area:

CONGREGATIONAL MINISTRIES

BIBLE STUDY GROUPS
We believe that Bible study is necessary for spiritual growth. Since God has revealed Himself to us in His word, we must continually study the Bible o learn more about His plan for our lives. As we study the history of our Lord and his people Israel, we see His love and mercy to His people throughout all the time. There are several Bible study group in the Uniting Reformed Church Orange Farm.

Church Council

Christian Women’s Ministry (C.W.M)

The church council is entrusted with the management (running), supervision and discipline of the congregation and the leadership in the various ministries in the congregation.

We have two groups of women operating in our church, the first group is called the Christian Women’s Ministry which comprises of mostly elderly Women. They meet every Thursdays at 11a.m and Sundays at 9 a.m

Christian Youth Ministry (C.Y.M)

Youth Camp 2024

Our Christian Youth Ministry caters for all young children from the age of 14 to 30 years. They meet every Sunday after church main service for fellowship and community service.

Sunday School

Our children Sunday school is open to all children from the age of 5 years to 13 years. From 9:00 to 10 a.m, Biblical lessons and activities are offered to the kids

This committee works to maintain and update our gardens and facilities.

Stewardship

God made the earth and put us on it with the responsibility of caring for it to the best of our ability. As Christians, we believe in following Jesus’ teaching of love and spreading His word using our time, talents, and resources. Stewardship is systematic giving to glorify God and carry out the ministry of Christ both locally and around the world.

Finance

The finance committee is tasked with reviewing, monitoring, and tracking church funds to support the organization. Finance is responsible for maintaining and auditing the church’s financial records, and they make decisions and recommendations that will directly affect the church’s finances.

Hospitality

Fellowship activities encourage a community of friends among our church family members, arranges for gathering in fellowship after the Sunday service. We gather to enjoy each other’s company, share our busy lives, and celebrate specials occasions. Refreshments of coffee, tea and treats are provided. Hospitality also coordinates Lemonade on the Lawn during summer months, Table for Eight, and a Men’s Group.

Service and Witness-Outreach

This committee is dedicated to equipping our church family to reach out to those who are newcomers in our community, those who need their faith strengthened, those who have fallen away, and those who have no faith. Our goal is to encourage and support our members in the endeavor by providing opportunities for them to share their faith with those who are searching or in need. New member seminars are held twice a year to explain the meaning of membership of U.R.C.S.A.

BIBLES ARE A BIG NEED IN ORANGE FARM, MANY PEOPLE DO NOT HAVE THE WORD. WE TRY BY ALL MEANS TO DISTRIBUTE BIBLES AND CHRISTIAN TRACTS. WE MAKE AN APPEAL THAT YOU HELP BY SUBSIDIZING US IN BUYING A BIBLE
